What is an invoice to God?

It takes something familiar—a list of expenses—and uses it as a reminder to pray specifically. You might write down rent, groceries, utilities, transportation, or another household need. Beside each item, our template includes the faith declaration “Paid in Full by God.” This is an expression of trust in God’s provision; it is not a receipt from a creditor or a change to the legal status of a bill.

You do not need special words or a perfect document to talk to God. The worksheet simply helps you put your requests into words and keep Scripture in front of you while you take practical steps.

How to make an invoice to God

  1. Open the free invoice template. Go to the Invoice to God creator and enter your name and the date.
  2. List your needs and amounts. Put one bill or need on each line. Use the plus button to add as many line items as you need. Review the total so your prayer list reflects your actual situation.
  3. Read the Scriptures. Pause over the promises on the invoice. Pray about what you have written, and ask for wisdom as well as provision.
  4. Enter your email and download. Choose the mobile PDF for reading on your phone or the print PDF for a paper copy. Your personalized invoice comes first, followed by the complete guide. A copy is also emailed to the address you provide.
  5. Return to your prayer list. Read it with thanksgiving, note how needs are met, and update your list when circumstances change.

A simple example

A sample invoice might include rent: $900; electricity: $140; groceries: $250; and transportation: $110. The total is $1,400. Your own amounts will be different. Use the real information you need for prayer, rather than copying someone else’s situation.

Scriptures to read as you pray

Philippians 4:19 points believers to God’s provision in Christ. Read the surrounding passage, where Paul speaks about contentment, partnership, and generosity.

Philippians 4:6–7 invites you to bring requests to God with thanksgiving and receive His peace. You can name a need honestly without letting worry have the final word.

James 1:5 encourages asking God for wisdom. Alongside prayer, that may mean reviewing expenses, making a call about a payment arrangement, pursuing work, or seeking trustworthy help.
